The Virginia State University Foundation operates as a not-for-profit organization. The Foundation is organized and shall be operated to receive, maintain, and administer assets in perpetuity exclusively for charitable and educational purposes by conducting and supporting activities which promote the advancement and to further the aims and mission of Virginia State University.
Foundation actions are governed by its Board of Trustees and established Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation, Virginia State University-Virginia State University Foundation Memorandum of Understanding and Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
